IMI Executive Director Jennifer Moore Appointed to Medicaid Innovation Accelerator Committee

WASHINGTON, DC - November 17, 2018 - Jennifer Moore, PhD, RN, executive director of the Institute for the Medicaid Innovation (IMI) has been appointed to serve as a member of the National Quality Forum's (NQF's) Medicaid Innovation Accelerator Committee for the Medicaid Innovation Accelerator Project.
The goal of the Medicaid Innovation Accelerator Project is to identify and measure areas important to Medicaid delivery system reform and related to the National Quality Strategy (NQS) priorities and high-impact conditions. The committee focuses on the four following areas:
- reducing substance use disorders,
- improving care for beneficiaries with complex care needs and high costs,
- promoting community integration through community-based long-term services and supports, and
- supporting physical and mental health integration.
Moore, an experienced critical care and emergency department nurse, is also a nationally recognized research and policy expert in women’s health and gender studies. Her leadership and expertise in providing health care solutions to priority populations has resulted in IMI quickly being recognized as a national thought leader in Medicaid innovation.
“I am honored to be asked to partner with the Medicaid Innovation Accelerator Committee,” said Moore. “Their initiatives advance improvements in the Medicaid delivery system and make a significant impact on health care outcomes for this population.”
The Institute for Medicaid Innovation focuses on providing innovative solutions that address important clinical, research and policy issues in Medicaid through multi-stakeholder engagement, research, data analysis, education, quality improvement initiatives and dissemination and implementation activities.
