IMI Welcomes Inaugural Deputy Executive Director, Bringing a Focus on Strategic Planning and Health Equity

 

Washington, DC- The Institute for Medicaid Innovation (IMI), a non-profit, nonpartisan research and policy organization, is pleased to announce the addition of Nadia Glenn, PhD, MSW as the inaugural deputy executive director.

Dr. Glenn’s appointment followed a career spanning over 20 years with leading health care organizations, provider organizations, and academia. She has led highly-visible projects, process improvement, strategic planning, and integrated population health management initiatives. Dr. Glenn’s work is centered around researching, analyzing, implementing, and expanding strategic initiatives foundational to achieving health care transformation and health equity.

Throughout her career, Dr. Glenn has worked on various health care strategies and interventions, including federally qualified health centers, international and national health interventions, managed care, and population health care priorities and interventions. She has experience with building and fostering positive internal and external stakeholder relationships and strives to bring innovation, enthusiasm, insight, and leadership when engaging with stakeholders to establish strategic and creative approaches. She is a hands-on thought leader and collaborator focused on successfully advancing health care services, delivering meaningful contributions, and driving measurable results necessary to positively impact the health and well-being of the individuals and communities served. Dr. Glenn is passionate about women’s health and advancing health equity in Medicaid programs. She is also passionate about teaching and learning and holds an adjunct faculty position with Temple University.

In this role, Dr. Glenn will lead IMI’s strategic efforts to diversify the organization’s portfolio, long-term planning and staff development efforts, spearhead and advance social determinants of health, behavioral health and health equity initiatives, among other responsibilities. Dr. Glenn holds a doctorate from Temple University and a master’s from the University of Pennsylvania.
